Extended Stay Suite - trying to find a suite deal
I've never had to deal with finding an extended stay suite, because every time I've done traveling with an extended stay there has been a way for me to stay with nearby family or friends. Of course, this could also be related to the fact that I've never had to travel farther than seventy-five miles for work, but back to the subject at hand. When looking for an extended stay suite there are certain amenities, accommodations, and cost concerns that have to be dealt with that are unique from an ordinary stay in a hotel suite.
Extended stay suite amenities
This one is usually not that hard, as almost any suite advertising itself as an extended stay suite will most likely have the necessary amenities, such as a kitchen, internet, tv (if you go for that sort of thing, which I don't personally, but to each their own), and the other basics that come with all hotel rooms nowadays. In fact, we can probably breeze right through talking about amenities, because the only time that will be an issue is when trying to negotiate an extended stay suite in a location that does not ordinarily offer that sort of accommodation (and good luck to you if you are brave enough to try that).
Extended stay suite accommodations
The easiest way to conveniently find an extended stay suite in any major city is to find a hotel chain that you like that consistently offers an extended stay suite and try them first every time. Of course, even if they have an extended stay suite in every location there is no guarantee that one will always be available, so most likely you will eventually have to deal with finding a new or different hotel or accommodation with an extended stay suite. While this can be intimidating and daunting to many of us, I don't think it needs to be with the availability of internet just about everywhere we go; while there isn't yet an app for that, it just takes a little google savvy to be able to find an alternative extended stay suite.
Extended stay suite cost concerns
The biggest concern for me regarding an extended stay suite would be that of cost, something that has been the impetus behind all of my extended stay travel being located in family and friends homes instead. So even bigger than the amenities to me would be the issue of cost. Of course, when one is talking about business travel there is often the advantage of company pay for business travel, which of course alleviates the issue altogether. But again, the best way to find the best value is to google, google, google. With a little elbow grease and determination you can find the perfect extended stay suite for you.
